The Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society Garden Tour committee is planning something very exciting for our 2022 tour on Saturday, July 9th from 10 am - 5 pm.
To celebrate our 30th Anniversary Tour, and in recognition of the town’s proclamation that 2022 is the Year of the Garden, this tour will be an Open Garden Tour, FREE admission, and a self-guided tour for all!

The open tour mission is to showcase a wide selection of gardens in each of the NOTL villages and rural areas. Tour attendees will be invited to visit and enjoy these beautiful gardens at their leisure throughout the day.

A detailed map will be available to all visitors to guide them in their tour; the committee is not planning for associated events or entertainment. To make this Open Tour possible, we need your participation and support.

Our committee is aware that there are many beautiful and interesting gardens throughout all parts of our town. If you have a garden or know a family member, friend, or neighbour that has one, that visitors would appreciate the chance to visit, please let us know.

We are looking for all types of gardens – perennial, annual, organic, pollinator or butterfly, water garden, cottage, modern, small, or even vegetable gardens. We would like to know if your garden is accessible – but that will not be a limitation to signing up.

As you know, gardens are always a work in progress. Your garden does not have to be perfect or “done” – we’re looking for all types of “gardeners’ gardens” that our visitors can learn from and enjoy. You do not have to commit your entire garden to the tour – we can showcase just the front or the back garden or even a garden at the side of your home.

If you would like to submit your garden for consideration in our Open Garden Tour on Saturday, July 9, 2022, please submit the form no later than Tuesday, March 15.

We will be reviewing submissions in late March, with the goal of finalizing our garden inventory by mid-April 2022.
We will be in contact with you and of course, all event organizing depends on the pandemic situation, we are hopeful that by July we all will be able to enjoy outside activities without or at least with very few restrictions.

Many thanks in advance for your consideration of our request. We are looking forward to learning about your garden availability and strolling through it in July.
