About Us & Benefits of Membership

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society

is one of the oldest horticultural societies in Ontario.

We are a volunteer-run, charity organization.

Our mission is to encourage the continual joy of learning about gardening.

We welcome everyone with an interest in gardening,

horticulture, and environmental stewardship.

Please join us! We look forward to meeting you!

  • Monthly Meetings - The Society hosts monthly meetings to educate members on a variety of horticultural topics and gardening techniques through speakers, generally experts in the field. Meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month, January to May and September to November. Our meetings usually take place at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre. See our past speakers and topics.

  • 2025 "How To" Speakers Series - The 2025 Speakers Series is promising to be a great one, with varied and esteemed speakers who will share many ideas and actions around your garden, horticulture and the environment. Moving our mission to educate our members and the public forward.
